Dr. Lewis P. Carrozza was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, and attended St. Laurence High School in Oak Lawn .  He later attended Bradley University and the University of illinois , receiving Bachelor of Science, and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of llinois in his pre-medicine program.  He graduated with his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine and became board certified in foot and ankle surgery in 1984.  Dr. Carrozza also was recertified in 1994 and 2004.  It was also 1984 when Dr. Carrozza became a Fellow in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

The areas that have become of special interest to Dr. Carrozza are reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle, sports medicine, and pediatric foot deformities.  He also treats a large number of geriatric patients and diabetics, especially those with peripheral vascular disease and neuropathy. 

Heel pain is one of the most common problems seen in his practice; Dr. Carrozza usually is able to offer his patients several options to treat their heel pain, including custom orthotics, oral antiflammatory medications, cortisone injections, physical therapy, or out-patient surgery.

Dr. Carrozza was formerly the Chairman of the Department of Podiatric Surgery at Mercy Hospital, and Holy Cross Hospitals in Chicago.  He was a clinical instructor at the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine, and also served as President of the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association.  Dr. Carrozza is welcoming new patients, and appointments may be scheduled by calling
